A reading community, built one meet at a time

The Magic Book Club started with a handful of readers around a single table. It is now 50+ readers and authors who keep showing up, month after month, for each other.

A reading community, built one meet at a time

The challenge

Reading is a private habit; community is a public act. The hard part was turning solitary readers into people who would keep coming back for each other, not just for the next book.

What we did

  1. 01

Hosted small, warm meets where nobody is quizzed and everybody is heard.

  2. 02

Mixed the formats, on-ground circles, outdoor meetups and online sessions, so distance is never the reason to miss out.

  3. 03

Gave readers a stage to become authors, sharing their own writing with the group.

50+

readers & authors in the circle

All ages

from schoolkids to working professionals

Monthly

meets, on-ground and online

I came for the books and stayed for the people. It's the first club that actually felt like a family.
